Mel Gibson Wanted Britney to Sing @ His Church

Music was behind the meeting between troubled pop star Britney Spears and Braveheart star Mel Gibson on Saturday — he wants her to sing at his church!
A Spears family insider tells PageSix.com of the pair's meeting at Studio City, Calif., eatery Romanov: “Apparently, he is trying to get her to start attending his church [Church of the Holy Family] in Malibu. We heard he asked her to sing at one of the weekly sessions there.”
The source continues, “Brit is being courted for a lot of different acting ventures right now and we have heard that Mel Gibson is trying to help her work a deal.”
Although Britney’s main focus has been on getting better, the mother-of-two did stick one foot back in the Hollywood pool when she filmed a guest appearance on How I Met Your Mother last week. The family insider says that Britney has been asked to do four total episodes of the sitcom (but a publicist for the show says she has only signed to do one).
Since Britney’s father, Jamie Spears, took over her conservatorship, things have been looking up in Britney’s world: She has been teaching classes to children at Millennium Dance Studio, is free of Sam Lutfi and has been having regular visits with her sons, Sean Preston, 2, and Jayden, 1. Brit still has a long way to go, however.
Sources tell PageSix.com that 26-year-old Britney still shows signs of multiple personalities and continues to revert to using her British accent at times.
